NYE 2009
- Dinner and champagne with Brady and Kevin
- Party at Kirby’s- some old friends but mostly new
- Winding down the night with Lucy at home
Who knows- something interesting might happen to divert me from this plan, but chances are NYE ‘09 is going to be a calm one, which is a nice, quiet ending for a hectic year. :)

I just got back for the gym, where I signed up for a long overdue membership. After three miles on a treadmill, a ton of ab work, and 30 minutes of free weights I’m a happy girl!
(Also, I cannot WAIT to try their Zumba and yoga classes!)
I’ve decided to save up to take a trip either late this summer or early next fall. I’m thinking India, Thailand or Peru. Any thoughts?

Beauty Day.
When my sisters and I were little girls we used to have “beauty night”. We would all get baths, my mom would trim our bangs and clean up our nails. I absolutely loved it. I’ve decided I’m deeming today a “beauty day”. After an incredibly busy December and some long holiday celebrations, I’m in some dire need of a little help.
Daily goals for my wonderful week!
Tuesday: Museum with Kirbs & see ‘Avatar’
Wednesday: Join a gym and get my Illinois driver’s license!
Thursday: Celebrate 2009
Friday: Celebrate 2010
Saturday: Prep for re-entering the real world (aka work on Monday)

He is here to wake you up. He is only here to wake you up. You are so certain of this, and still you lose your scattered head when he shows you sketches of a comic and a web is spun by the time he gets around to ink...

I struck the perfect balance of productivity/laziness.
It snowed!
Adam came over.
I baked A TON of cookies: some classic, some definitely NOT classic.
I got to watch my FAVORITE holiday movie.
My apartment is cozy and warm, and it is starting to snow again!

Lucy just got a LONG overdue bath. She’s had a hurt ear for awhile that I didn’t want to get wet, but it’s finally healed enough to just go for it. Not only do I have a nice, clean, sweet-smelling puppy, but mopping up after she shakes off is giving me nice clear floors, too!
Great night.
